Any suggestions appreciated. Tags: None. You don't say what issue you have with the blade clamps. I had a Delta P20 with the same blade clamps and loved them. I can tell you it takes very little turning of the little knurled knob to change the clamping pressure. Also if someone applied to much pressure they could have bent the clamp closing handle. If the handle is bent inward the cam will not operate properly. The issue can be corrected by gently bending the handle slightly outward.
If you are new to scroll sawing it just takes a little practice. Good luck you have a very good saw and you will get there. Last edited by Stoney ; , AM. Stoney aka Al This gettin old stuff ain't for sissies! Comment Post Cancel. Thank you for the information, perhaps you are correct, I am Learning, and just dont seem to get the blade right each time.
I still have my SS best entry level saw ever made in my opinion. I also put those clamps on my Hawk. Most people over tension them. A little less than what the picture shows.
As Stoney said over tensioning will bend the lever. The clamps are no longer made. Rolf thank you, I tend to over tighten everything Now if those clamps are no longer made, are there any replacements out there you know of? Last edited by Rolf ; , AM.
Reason: My name spelling. I have not seen any replacements. I always look for old deltas at yard sales.. Without knowing much about the saw, will any of these add ons help? Bob thanks but I have no ideas what fits I shall be patient, and muddle my way thru. Unconfigured Ad Widget. Latest Topics. Reply to BIG score! Preferred Partners of. The faster the speed the harder it hits!!! What's going on??? I have the same problem. Did you receive any replies? If so could you chare them with me at link removed? Hello Bill, The parts that wear the most on that saw are the link, part number, And the two special screws, part number, If they are worn this will cause the upper and lower arms to become loose and travel to far up and down.
Hope this helps, WJA.
