Neither apparently do any of the umpteen top level guys on Sherco's, unless you can show me evidence of Smage, Ferrer, Cabestany back in the day, etc. I've never seen anything. Yes, it uses bushings in the linkage rather than bearings, but on the upside you can basically ignore them for eternity if you don't mind a little noise until they're bad enough to replace. My Factory Sherco had a monster thick skid plate, through bolts and nyloc nuts everywhere, a good gearbox, great suspension for the money, perfect setup out of the box, and horrendously bad handlebars the bend was atrocious. It's a great bike. I still contend all the brands are quite good and you should really just pick the one you like the most.
